Interior Savings Moonlight Movie Tour coming August 19

Interior Savings and the Lillooet & District Minor Hockey Association invite you to grab a picnic blanket and head down to the REC Centre lawn to watch a moonlight screening of the hit animated comedy Ferdinand on Sunday, August 19.

The movie will be shown on a giant inflatable cinema screen at sundown. Everyone is encouraged to arrive early to get a good viewing spot and take part in some of the many family-friendly pre-show activities and concessions. While there is no charge to attend the event, a donation of $3 per person or $10 for a family of four is suggested. All funds raised will benefit Lillooet Minor Hockey.

“We are delighted to be able to partner with Interior Savings and be part of the Moonlight Movie Tour. I hope everyone will take the opportunity to enjoy this unique movie experience with friends and family. Proceeds from the event will help us raise funds to support kids' participation in minor hockey in the community,” says Heather Holt, event coordinator for Lillooet Minor Hockey.

The August 19 screening is one of many movie nights taking place throughout the Thompson Okanagan this summer.

Pre-show activities will start at 7:00 pm with the movie scheduled to start at sundown. Please bring your own blankets and lawn chairs, to be comfortable and warm. For more information, visit lillooetminorhockey.org or www.interiorsavings.com.

Major sponsors of the event are Xwisten (Bridge River Band), Aspen Planers, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 66, BPO Elks Lodge 467, Interwest Timber, Direct Electric, Lillooet Dental Clinic and T’it’q’et (Lillooet Band).
